We are proud to announce that on 27 October 2023 our PhD student Zrinko Baričević successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled: “Identification, classification and quantification of the developing postanal cortex of Monodelphis domestica using an isotropic fractionator method”. Congrats!
The second consecutive UNIRI Career Days was held from 23-26 October 2023, supported by the UNIRI Alumni Network, the Careers Office of the University Counseling Center and the Student Union of the University of Rijeka. On Tuesday 24 October, Jelena Ban and Zrinko Baričević participated at the public discussion “My scientific career” lead by Prof. Igor Prpić, head of the UNIRI doctoral school and hosted by Nikoleta Zubić from UNIRI Career office.

11th Open day of the Department of Biotechnology, University of Rijeka was held on April 25 2023 from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, at University Kampus Trsat – Rijeka. LNM participated with a children’s play “What can our brain do?”, intended for the youngest participants.
Starting from 2023 LNM participated at the Brain Awareness Week in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Rijeka with joint events held from 13-19 March 2023.
Zrinko Baričević and Jelena Ban gave introductury lecture about brain inhabitants and their roles at the Children’s house Rikard Benčić in Rijeka.
